Interclub Competitions

Saguaro Camera Club is a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), the Arizona Camera Club Council (ACCC) and one of five camera clubs in the Phoenix area that makes up the Grand Canyon Circuit.   These organizations hold a number of competitions throughout the year and is known to Saguaro Camera Club members as 'Interclub', with members responsible for coordinating the various tasks associated with Saguaro's participation in these competitions. 

Saguaro participates as follows in four PSA Interclub divisions.

Projected Image Division (PID) & PID Creative:  James (Jim) Smith is Saguaro's Coordinator/Chair for this division.  He selects images from the club's monthly competitions and enters them for the club.  Should a member NOT want their images entered they should contact Jim.


Nature Division (ND):  Marcia Dillon is Saguaro's Coordinator/Chair for this division.  She selects images from those she solicits from members and enters them for the club.  Since members send her their images it is assumed there is no problem with them being used in Interclub.

Photojournalism Division (PJ):  Jim David is Saguaro's Coordinator/Chair for this division.  He selects images from those he solicits from members and enters them for the club.  For a better understanding of this division as it represents Photojournalism please CLICK HERE Since members send him their images it is assumed there is no problem with them being used in Interclub.

 Photo Travel (PT):  Louis Romain  is Saguaro's Coordinator/Chair for this division.  He selects images from those he solicits from members and enters them for the club.  Since members send him their images it is assumed there is no problem with them being used in Interclub.

PROJECTED IMAGE GUIDELINES

All horizontal images should be sized to 1400 by 1050 pixels to be best seen with the new projector. Vertical images should be no taller than 1050 pixels on the longest side.

Arizona Camera Club Council

Saguaro club members may also participate in ACCC competitions.

Information, Rules and competition dates may be found by following the Arizona Camera Club Council link or by contacting Saguaro's representative Dick Lund.

Participants can receive individual honors for their images through the Arizona Camera Club Council. 
***ANNUAL CLUB AWARD***
At the Fall Roundup each year, one "Club of the Year" is chosen in each Division, based on scores for both the Spring and Fall Roundups.
The 2016 "Club of the Year" winners are:

ACCC Competition Divisions & Categories

The Saguaro Camera Club has competitions each month, October through April for club members only.
Members may enter a maximum of 2 images in each of the two Projected Digital categories: Assigned and/or Open.  Details may be found in the BYLAWS.

The Club also holds a special 'Year End' competition in December our 'Year End'. Rules for this competition may be found in the Club's Bylaws.
